Reproduced by RCC Broadcasting with owner permission, the movies were recorded in Hiroshima Prefecture in or before 1945.
Surviving examples of such images are rare, because home movie cameras were expensive, making motion picture filming a hobby very few people could afford, and also because many films were lost in the turmoil of the war.
We hope viewers will discover in these visual records the Hiroshima we have lost, and the Hiroshima that is still with us today.
